Use Murphy's Oil Soap to wash wood work. Call a paint store for their suggestions for washing painted walls. Find out if the paint is flat or satin or whatever finish before you wash it. If your talking about your old place check with the manager before you start doing anything. They usually expect you to empty the apartment entirely of your belongings.. and the frig should be clean and the bathroom.


They usually shampoo the rugs after you leave. if you have lived there more than a year they will most likely paint the place again. So dont' worry about walls unless they are really bad. The manager will tell you what to do and what not to do.
