whats better Glidden, Sherwin Williams, Behr, ext?
thanks and plz answer. What is the best paint product? (for walls)?
With many paints, it's pretty much you get what you pay for. Personally, I have had good luck with Behr and Benjamin Moore. Some paint brands are doing a one part paint with built in primer I've heard good things about. If you go with a traditional two part system, I highly recommend priming with Kilz, just be sure to match it with the paint you are using (oil based, acrylic, etc.) Good luck with the project, hope it turns out nicely! What is the best paint product? It all depends, really. I don't like Glidden... for me, it's just too watery. I like Behr, especillay some of their specialty finishes. But for just plain paint, I like Sico alot. I also like their color choices. And for someone who wants to save money and the planet, Boomerang recycled paint, which comes in quite a number of colors, is actually quite good. But by far, my favorite paint is either Pratt and Lambert, but you can't get it just anywhere. There's also Benjamin Moore.
So, I guess if I really have to choose just one paint company, I'd go with Sico, since they're reasonably priced, easy to apply and have a good color choice... In fact, when a large hardware/paint store has their own generic brand of paint that they color, they use the sico colors to match their own paint to.
I've been painting my rooms for years and produce a close to professional job, and lately I've been using Sears Easy Living paints. I have found them to be Very Good. They have a nice selection of colors and clean up well. To me paint is paint and why spend $30 for a gallon when I can get the same for $15?! I haven't seen anyone's walls look any better than mine, or the more expensive paint give any better coverage. It's my opinion. Priming is important especially if you're covering a darker color or the walls haven't been painted in years.
