Is it a good idea to paint my walls black?

ok, soo im 14 and im about to move into a new house and im going to get my own room for the first time in forever!!! and so i had different ideas on how i wanted to decorate it. one of them was to paint the walls black and then throw neon paint splatters all over the wall, sounds really cool but i dont know if its such a good idea because black is such a dark color. so should i put black on my walls?? why or why not??Is it a good idea to paint my walls black?
GOOD IDEA! BUT INSTEAD USE CHALK BOARD PAINT ALL OVER YOUR WALLS FOR COOL EFFECTS AND THEN YOU CAN WRITE ALL OVER YOUR WALLS WITH NEON CHALK! I LOVE YOUR CREATIVITYIs it a good idea to paint my walls black?
Black is not a good colour because it doesn't reflect light.


Trust me, you'll get frustrated after an hour!


Choose a grey because it has the same properties as black but it reflects light easier.


I like the neon idea! If your walls are grey, when you switch your light off, the neon will look awesome!!

i personally think the paint splatters sounds cool against the black, but do something you think you'd never regret. something simple, yet really cool
oh no seriously i moved onto the house where i am now and one of the rooms was painted black and it was just so scruffy and disgusting.and that was just one wall the others were bright yellow eeeer
That sounds pretty cool, but it isn't practical.


my friend has 1 black wall in her room, and it gets REALLY hot without the AC on sometimes. try a lighter shade than black. maybe grey.
its really not a good idea. go with a dark grey for parallel walls, and a lighter grey for the others. With black furnature
