I am a very bright person! I was thinking orange....??? I really don't know. 1-2 colors max. I am open to anything!! Please help. Never realized how unfortunate it is that i have forest green couches, boo. They are leather and nice...so any colors thrown on the wall won't make it look trashy or wrong. If you get what I mean...THANKS I have dark forest green couches. I am looking for some color options to paint my walls! Tried tope- too dark?
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the ';painted'; rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think ';amour pink'; (# 6595) might be a good choice.
You can also take a photo of your house %26amp; upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions %26amp; for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like. I have dark forest green couches. I am looking for some color options to paint my walls! Tried tope- too dark?
Instead of taupe (a greyish brown) try a tan/beige with more golden undertones. And try it at least one shade lighter than you tried the taupe. Also, if you tried a flat/matte finish, try a satin or low sheen. Burgundy and burnt orange would look nice with the couches, but could clash with anything else you eventually add to the room. Plus, it sounds like you want a nice, light, inviting room and I think these colors might be too dark for your tastes. Keep the wall color simple, and add little shots of color gradually through out the room (pillows, vases, paintings, etc.). Good luck and don't stress over it!
hmm... forest green. i'd say, paint the walls creme. you don't want to clash colors that don't look nice together. orange would look nice if you put some design of green onto the orange. here's an example that is not exactly matching your description, but i think it can help: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/178/42267鈥?/a>
Well you want to use earthy tones. You could try a shade of blue. Probably with a lighter tone. or a burnt orange could look nice. even a light brown. as long as it i earthy and light it should look good. im leaning more towards the light brown.
Maybe try a red-orange, because it is green's complimentary colour, so they will go well together.
You could make the room come together and put cushions or a blanket that are the same colour as the wall on the couch
:)
Purple, burgandy, or burnt orange would work.
earthy tones!
try like a greyish green but more green then grey :D
