Are you talking about interior or exterior walls?
At one point in my life, I lived in a house built by someone else who apparently ran out of money. What they did was nail up paneling right over the studs. When they wanted to sell it, they just painted over the paneling to make it look like a real wall, but anyone could see it was just painted-over paneling.
The price was right on the house, so I went to Home Depot or Lowe's or one of those places and found what they call ';textured'; paint. It's sort of the consistency of mashed potatoes. Its really thick. You'll have to use a really fluffy roller to spread it on and you can either leave it bumpy or you can use a trowel to kind of smooth it out, whichever you prefer. Then you can paint over it in the normal manner.
I would not recommend this for outside.I have a double wide home and I want to paint my walls! BUT they have I believe it' plywood with tacky vinyl?
You can paint them. Clean the walls with TSP. Prime with a water based primer tinted to your paint color and paint after 2 coats of primer if trying to hide a patterned wall paper.I have a double wide home and I want to paint my walls! BUT they have I believe it' plywood with tacky vinyl?
Hi
Sorry, I don't have an easy procedure...but, The vinyl will need to be removed.
