What color walls should I paint my living room?

My husband %26amp; I just bought our first home. The people that lived in before were in their late 70's %26amp; had a love for wallpaper. They wallpapered every single room in the house. I can not stand it. Anyway's we are going to start with the living room. I am not sure what color to go with. I have some ideas but would like some opinions. The carpet is like a medium brown. Im not crazy about but can't afford to change it. Our sofa is a mircrofiber sage green. I attached a link of a pic with the exact sofa I have. I was thinking of going with two colors. Have an accent wall %26amp; then paint the other walls another color. What color or colors hould I go with?

You could do the rest a coffee color or white.What color walls should I paint my living room?
If living room is dark and cold( no sun) try to use warm colors as coffe with milk with and try to in change color of sofa to brown in shop.If your living room is sunny use cold colors as blue and in this way no need to changing of sofa color
Go to Lowes and get yourself the Valspar Paint it is called Lyndhurst Creme. It is a light yellow and will accent the floor color and the make those sofas POP!
Hi we just purchased our first house as well not too long ago. Everything had wall paper (yuck!) Below is our room. The pic you posted the colors look good grey/white. You can also go a little funky.





The red color below is called Drum Beat by Glidden (prime room grey first) We have a golden/sunsetish color for the top. Our master bed room is huge so the dark %26amp; light colors keep the room from feeling too small %26amp; keep it from looking way too big. For acent we could of gone with black but went with browns %26amp; a brushed gold/silver effect (frames etc...)

Our rugs are a tanish color (I also wish we could change them...look under the rugs to see if you have decent hardwood underneath)
