(bright colors: lime, turquoise, pink, yellow, orange, purple/lilac...)Should i splatter paint onto my walls or not? and how...?
I think you need to cover up anything you don't want splattered. You can get plastic sheeting from your paint store for this. Stick it on with masking tape. Then, do one color at a time. I think you could dip a stiffish brush into the paint, then zip a piece of wood (like a paint stirring stick) across it to fling the paint. Let the first color dry a bit before doing the second.
I would think that as opposed to watering down the paint, you would want it thicker to prevent running. Work out the paint consistency outdoors somewhere, like against a vertical board, before you do it inside.

I've done this with floors, not walls, so I never had to think about the dripping problem. If you want long strands of blobs, fill the brush and flick it toward the wall while keeping it in constant motion. For smaller, individual blobs, fill your brush and then knock it against something like a broomstick repeatedly. With each knock some paint will fly off and land as blobs and spatters.
Either way, this takes practice to get what you want. Find some old cardboard or wrapping paper and practice on that.
I don't think thinning the paint is going to work to keep the paint from running down the wall--just the opposite, I suspect. I don't know if there are anything like paint ';thickeners,'; but ask at the hardware store.
To avoid muddy mixing do one color at a time and let it dry completely before starting the next.
By the book, you splatter by taking the brush, dipping it in the paint, and then gracefully whacking the part of the brush's handle nearest the bristles on your hand or finger - with a large brush, your finger or hand would get hurt, so maybe use something you rig up, like an upright floor lamp. You have to find out how hard you have to whack the brush to get the paint to fly off. If you use a large brush and regular house paint, do not water it down, and do wear goggles as paint will go everywhere. The paint will not mix if you do each color on its own and let it dry before moving to a different color.
experiment with something like paper or cardboard (outside if you can)
